Building on our previous article on EBank’s Digital Transformation journey, we are happy to announce a first of its kind implementation within the Middle East and Africa region. The gigantic dedication from both teams led Sumerge and EBank to achieve a huge success towards achieving EBank’s goals.
Using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform for Kubernetes container orchestration, the first private cloud run by a bank at scale in Egypt, EBank has been able to run multiple workloads on the same cluster, managing three main microservices based systems. This resulted in accelerated banking transfers by 80% from 10 minutes to 2 minutes. Not only that, but it also accelerated the interbank transfers from 4 minutes per transfer to 50m transfers per minute.
